Genese Gibson chairs the Department of Radiologic Sciences at ADU and has been a part of the university since its inception in 1992. She has been teaching in the field of radiography since 1982. Her department pioneered distance learning on the campus, helping to launch the first online degree. She earned her master’s degree from Webster University. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and serves on the membership committee of the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. Some of her goals for students in the imaging programs are to help cultivate their core values and provide them with the opportunity to pursue lifelong learning. She enjoys traveling, biking, and reading biographies of people who have made significant changes in the world.
