A faculty member at Adventist University of Health Sciences since 1998, Dusanka Hristic believes that her role as a nursing professor is to prepare registered nurses to provide holistic healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. She would like her students to have the opportunity to learn how to best care for the communities where they live. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Loma Linda University. She has attended numerous national and international conferences focusing on various aspects of the nursing profession. Some of the professional organizations she is a member of include the National League for Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the American Public Health Association, the Florida Association of Public Health Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau — International Honor Society of Nursing. She also loves art and enjoys cooking and sewing.
