Olga Parizher, Online Bachelor’s in Sonography Graduate
Sonography is experiencing a surge in popularity as a career path. Simultaneously, more sonographer jobs are being created. That has prompted many experienced sonographers to see an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in sonography and rise as a leader in this growing field. That’s what motivated ADU graduate Olga Parizher to go for her sonography degree.
“I always like to be on top of the game,” Olga said. “I am a credentialed cardiac, vascular, and general sonographer so I thought my next step will be to get a bachelor’s in diagnostic medical sonography.”
She took that next step at ADU, which is distinct in that we boast a well-known faculty and one of the few online ultrasound programs in the country geared toward credentialed sonographers interested in continuing their education. Here, Olga saw an opportunity to earn a degree that supplemented her current work, but also enabled her to explore new possibilities to advance her career.
“I am always hungry for new knowledge,” Olga said, “and I am hoping to get a promotion and become a technical director in the future.”
Your schedule. Our flexible curriculum.
Olga decided it was time to pursue a bachelor’s in sonography, even though she juggled a busy schedule with work and new additions to her family.
“I had two newborns while I was at school and was also working as a sonographer for an imaging company,” Olga said. “Luckily, the school allows you to schedule your courses at yourown time.”
The flexibility and support system she found at ADU made completing her sonography degree easier to manage.
“I really liked the setup of the program,” Olga said. “For me, an online program was more convenient than attending classes, because I was better able to combine it with work and family.”
Great connections. Greater career choices.
Beyond the convenience of her online classes, Olga found her ultrasound completion degree led to real connections with ADU’s inspiring faculty and her online student colleagues.
“It is a great program with knowledgeable, educated professors and dedicated students,” she said.
Now she feels prepared to advance and compete for more diverse roles in the expanding job market.
“I definitely feel that this program has increased my career options,” Olga said. “I am now applying to administrative positions — jobs that I didn’t think I would have had a chance at filling without this degree. I feel that I have more choices.”
