“What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?”
The aspect of my job that I am most passionate about is being able to help prospective students realize that their dream of a degree is possible. As a Distance Enrollment Specialist, I look forward to not only seeing my students start our BSN program, but also complete and graduate.
“What do you feel makes your program unique?”
Our program is unique because of the level of customer service a student receives from the first phone call all the way through degree completion. Students will never feel like a number at Adventist University of Health Sciences; they are treated as part of the family from the very beginning. Our program also offers a level of flexibility that other online programs do not. These students can truly balance work, school and their personal life.
“What advice would you give a new student?”
The best advice I can give a new student is, “Feel the fear and do it anyway!” It is always scary when we begin a new endeavor, especially one as challenging as going back to college while trying to balance work and family. I would advise new students to remember they are not alone, other students are feeling the same way. I would also advise them to take full advantage of the levels of support available to them.

Dear Andrea,
I originally contacted you months ago when I was finishing my associate’s degree in nursing for information on FHCHS’s RN to BSN degree program. I have since graduated, am living in Florida and will be taking the NCLEX on March 8th, 2012. I would like to start the process of enrolling for the RN to BSN program. Even though I am living in Florida, I would still prefer the distance education option for the online classes benefit. I reviewed the requirements for application and I received a copy of transcripts along with my diploma and was wondering if I brought that in, if that can be taken or if the school would need to send them. (It would just save time and money that way and they are sealed and signed by the registrar.) Please let me know what I need to do and I look forward to starting the next step of education with you guys.
Thanks,
Keri Carlson
