You can speak to a Distance Enrollment Specialist by calling 1-888-768-6276 and Press 2 when prompted.
Hello. I have a BS in Biology, but am going back to school for a certificate in cardiac sonography. WOuld I be able to get a BS in sonography, since my specialty is cardiac?
As long as you are registered with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI in sonography and meet our general admissions requirements, you would be eligible for the online BS in Sonography.
Hello, I currently have a BA in Communications. What pre-requisite classes would I need to take before applying to the program? Is there a number I can call to speak to somebody directly? thanks!
Hello, In order to qualify for our program, you would already have to be a registered sonographer. You can find accredited program in your area by searching the CAAHEP site http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/.
I am currently interested in taking your online Sonography program. My question is, if I have no previous college experience would I still be able to qualify for this program? Whether yes or no, what steps do I need to take in order to become qualified for this program?
This program is a completion degree for those already in the field of sonography. In order to qualify for this program, you must be registered through the ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT in Sonography. This would require that you have either a certificate, diploma, or associate’s degree in sonography along with an active license. You can find an accredited entry-level program by visiting the CAAHEP website at http://www.caahep.org/forstudents.

At this time, we do not offer an online certificate in medical sonography, but you can search for accredited programs by visiting the CAAHEP website at http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/.
Hello. I’m currently attending Southwest Career College in El Paso, TX getting my associates degree in Sonography. Once I finish with the program can I enroll to Florida Hospital College? I want to further my education and get my bachelors degree.
Thank you for your interest in Florida Hospital College. It sounds like you are well on your way to becoming qualified for our BS in DMS degree. Once you graduate with your AS degree and become registered with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI in sonography, you will be eligible to apply for our program. If you would like to speak to a Distance Enrollment Specialist about the steps to apply, you can call 1-888-768-6276. We wish you the best of luck in your associate’s program and hope to hear from you soon!
I just got out of the Marine Corps and I would like to become an Ultrasound Tech. I have no prior college experience and I need to do everything online… how would I do this if your requirements are this stringent?
Our BS in DMS degree was designed specifically for the working professional who is already certified in sonography. The curriculum in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree is didactic in nature, and does not include the clinical component that is required in order to become a registered sonographer. Our coursework focuses on leadership, management and critical thinking to help those with an Associate’s degree or diploma advance to management or teaching positions. This is why we require that applicants be registered with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI prior to enrolling in our program. If you are interested in an entry-level program, you can visit the CAAHEP website at http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/ to find an accredited program in your area. Best of luck!
I’m calling out for help! I would like to become an ultrasound tech. I recently had a baby and I am greatly interested in online schooling. Is this possible with your school? I was going to school for nursing, but realized it is not for me. I am having a lot of trouble starting my career in sonography. Thanks!
Our online Bachelor of Science in Sonography is specifically for those who are already registered sonographers and working in the field. We offer an entry-level associate’s degree on campus if you live in the area. You can learn more about the campus-based program by visiting http://www.fhchs.edu/academics/diagnostic-medical-sonography/diagnostic-medical-sonography-program. If you are not local, I suggest visiting the CAAHEP website to find an accredited school in your area. http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/. Best of luck!
Hello,
I was just wondering what level of math is needed as a prereq. to the BA in radiography? I am trying to figure out whether I may need a higher level math ( ie. college algebra) in the future or if my intermediate algebra from the associates degree math will be enough.
Thank you.
JB
Once you are ARRT (R) registered you would qualify for the program regardless of what level math class you have. If you receive an Associates in Radiology than we automatically grant you credit for having College Algebra whether you took it or not. The only upper level math that we require is Introduction to Applied Statistics. If you are completing a certificate based Radiography program than you would need College Algebra and Statistics. Both of these classes are available with us online, but if you do take them prior to applying with our college they would be eligible for transfer.
i am registered and in order to get a BS in ultrasound what kind of classes will i be taking and is all of it online?
can i transfer some college coarses?
