Dr. Ernest Bursey is a religion professor at Adventist University of Health Sciences where he has been teaching since 2001. He received his doctorate degree in New Testament Studies from Yale University. Dr. Bursey chairs the World Religions and Missiology section of the Adventist Society for Religious Studies. Some of Dr. Bursey’s goals for his students are: to raise their level of curiosity in the world around them, to help them grow confidence in their understanding of the major belief systems of the world, and to develop an understanding of the diverse ways in which ordinary people live out their faith. Dr. Bursey enjoys reading and driving on back roads where the developers have not landed and the scenery is pre-strip mall.
