Ann Vining
Dr. Ann Vining has been a professor of mathematics at Adventist University of Health Sciences (formerly known as Florida Hospital College) since 2001 and is now the Program Chair for Health and Bio-Medical Sciences. She received her doctorate degree from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Vining is a member of the Mathematics Association of America and also serves as a member of the American Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges. She is a site visitor for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Dr. Vining developed a mathematics curriculum guide (a handbook for teachers about how to teach higher order thinking skills in the mathematics classroom) and a pamphlet for teachers about how to use the graphing calculator in teaching high school mathematics. One of Dr. Vining’s goals for her students is to help them realize that they have the potential to learn math. Dr. Vining enjoys water sports, swimming, scuba diving, and boating. She also likes scrap-booking and spending time with family.
