Janice Preston

Dr. Janice Preston is the Chair of the Department of Nursing at Adventist University of Health Sciences (formerly known as Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences). She has been a faculty member at the University since 2004. Dr. Preston received her doctoral degree from the University of Virginia. She has presented numerous seminars and workshops across the United States and internationally on the topics of physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Dr. Preston is a member of several professional societies including the National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Thu, the American Nurses Association, and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. One of her goals for students in the nursing program is that they become stellar nurses who exhibit compassion and a high standard of care for whom they are responsible for. Dr. Preston enjoys reading, needle work, and people watching.
